What is frensdae?
frensdae is the home of the frens, two dogs and a hamster: our art, plushies and the stories behind them. It's also the brand behind frens chocolates.
Who are the frens?
The frens are two dogs and a hamster, the illustrated characters of frensdae. They star on every frens chocolates wrapper, in our art and on our merch.
Where can I buy frens chocolates?
Online in our shop. We ship to the contiguous United States.
Do you sell frens merch?
Merch is on its way: plushies, keychains and more. Tap Get merch on the homepage to hear first when it drops.
Where can I see more frens art?
On Instagram at @frensdae, where new illustrations from the frens world go up first.
What are frens chocolates?
frens chocolates are artisan chocolate bars, handcrafted one small batch at a time. Every bar is mixed, poured and finished by hand, with real ingredients and only the best chocolate.
What flavors do you make?
Flavors rotate, and the shop shows what's available now. Bars have included mango matcha, strawberry shortcake, strawberry matcha, ube horchata, dark chocolate yuzu, matcha latte, mangonada, cookies and cream, coffee chocolate, milk chocolate and dark chocolate.
What's in a frens bar?
Chocolate and the good things we put in it: real fruit, matcha and toppings you can see, with no fillers. We start with the finest chocolate we can find, because it's what you taste most. Each bar is 70 g (2.5 oz).
Do frens chocolates contain allergens?
Allergens are listed on each package. Our products may contain traces of common allergens.
How should I store chocolate?
Somewhere cool, dry and dark, around 60 to 70°F, away from sunlight, heaters and strong smells. Keep it out of the fridge: moisture there can leave white streaks on the surface.
How long does chocolate last?
Plain dark chocolate keeps the longest. Milk and white chocolate keep for less time, and bars with fruit, cookies or other toppings are best eaten sooner. Stored well, a bar keeps its flavor far longer than it usually lasts in the house.
Why does my chocolate have white streaks?
That's bloom: cocoa butter or sugar rising to the surface after the bar got warm or damp. It's safe to eat and tastes the same, it just looks dusty. Steady, cool storage prevents it.
What makes a good chocolate gift?
A flavor picked for the person and a short note. Our gift guide has ideas by person and occasion, including Christmas and Valentine's Day.
Where do you ship?
We ship to the contiguous United States only, and checkout shows where we can ship. Prices are in US dollars.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Email hi@frensdae.com within 7 days of delivery with a photo, and we'll send a replacement or a refund. Otherwise all sales are final.
Do you sell wholesale?
Yes. Shops, cafés and gift stores can email wholesale@frensdae.com to stock frens chocolates.
